Windscape Dairy Goats
Welcome!
My name is Morgan Wagle and I own a small herd of Oberhaslis under the herd name Windscape. My family and I have a farm in northwestern Missouri where we raise Lamanchas, Nigerian Dwarfs, Nubians, Oberhaslis, and a few Recorded Grades and unregistered stock. The Nubians and Nigerian Dwarfs are my mom’s under the herd name Ridgely’s Dairy Goats. The Lamanchas are owned by my sister who has the Majic*Moon herd.
I chose to breed Oberhaslis because of their docile temperament, chamoisee coloring, easy-to-handle size, and delicious milk. At Windscape, I’m working to keep these wonderful breed characteristics while breeding productive, competitive animals that can hold up throughout their lifetime and pass these traits down to future generations. My ultimate goal is to have Oberhaslis that can be competitive on a national level, in both the show ring and milk department.
My family has had goats all of my life, but I recently only started breeding registered dairy goats. My journey as a dairy goat breeder began when I bought my first goat in 2009; an unregistered Alpine/Oberhasli cross doe that I could call mine. The first Oberhaslis stepped foot on our place in the fall of 2011; two bred does, a buck, and a doeling. (The doeling was The Otello’s Flora and she’s here to stay!) My first Oberhasli kids were born in 2013; the same year I received my herd name.

Herd Health
Our goats are tested annually for CAE with negative results. We deworm, vaccinate, and copper bolus regularly.
The does have 60 acres of free range pasture and are fed grain and grass hay. Bucklings are milk fed for 3 months while doelings are fed for 5 months. They get grain, grass hay, and grass to nibble on.
We do not offer outside breeding services at this time for sanitation reasons.
All kids are raised on CAE negative raw milk.
